Shetland Otter Photography

 

Shetland is one of the best places in the UK to watch and photograph otters. Shetland otters forage during the day and boasts the highest density of otters in Europe. Over the years I have got to know which Shetland coastlines are best for otters.

I aim to get you into the right position to give you the best chance of success. While at the same time making sure that the wellbeing of the otter is not comprised. It is exciting tracking a Shetland otter along some of the islands wildest coastlines. Furthermore it is rare to see another person on many of the shorelines I work with otters.

In my opinion Shetland is the best place in the UK to photograph otters because of the density of otters living along the coastline, often multiple family groups. The coastlines are also excellent for photography.
